Purpose:

Defines rules for rehiring former employees. This policy will outline circumstances under which former employees might be rehired and any relevant guidelines.

Scope:

It is applicable to all the former employees who have voluntarily left the company on a good note with the presentation of satisfactory performance and genuinely want to get rehired.

Eligibility:

  1. The Exit was Voluntary.
  2. Receive a green report from Background Verification.

Re-hire Scenarios:

  1. If the employee was confirmed while leaving, he/she should be hired as confirmed employee.
  2. If the employee was under probation while leaving, he/she will have to successfully complete a probation period of six months with satisfactory performance.
  3. Even if the employee was confirmed while leaving but joining in a different department/role,he/she will have to successfully complete a probation period of six months with satisfactory performance.

Compensation:

  1. Within the appraisal cycle – the employee would be hired at the last drawn salary of Uplers and would be considered in subsequent appraisal cycle (If confirmed)
  2. Beyond appraisal cycle – the employee would be given a raise based upon the last drawn salary (while leaving) as per appraisal guidelines & Budgets
  3. Even if the employee was confirmed while leaving but joining in a different department/role,he/she will have to successfully complete a probation period of six months with satisfactory performance.

Procedure:

If the ex-employee approaches the SV Heads, then they would seek the clearance from Associate Director-P&C on rehiring if a suitable position exists.

Associate Director – P&C to check with HRBP on the EXIT status (voluntary/involuntary) & HR Ops on BGV Status(if not done earlier, to be initiated & confirmed) & give hiring & compensation approval as appropriate.

HRBP has to write an Email for notifying to the Recruitment department consisting of the components that required to generate CCF:

Onboarding:

He/she has to undergo the Onboarding Process on the joining day no matter if he/she has joined as confirmed/under probation.
