This policy covers guidelines for hiring any potential candidates who share either one of the three types of relationship with any current full-time employee of Uplers.
Direct Family Relations

Partners
Any family members who are directly related to a current full-time employee of Uplers, such as Biological/Step Siblings, Parent, Spouse, or Offspring are known as the Direct family.
Any relationship where a current full-time employee of Uplers shares a romantic relationship or acts as domestic partners with another individual can be defined as relationship where both individuals are Partners
Any family members who are related to a current full-time employee of Uplers but don’t share a Direct Family Relationship or are not a Partners, falls under Indirectly family.
Professional Relationship
Direct Supervision
If Employee X directly reports to Employee Y, X can be defined as a direct supervision of Y
If Employee X directly reports to Employee Y, and Y directly reports to Z, hence X is in indirect supervision of Z.
Any employee who belong to the below followings departments fall under Restricted category
People & Culture – Full Department
Finance- Full Department
Talent Acquisition- Full Department
Payroll – Full Department
Any employee who doesn’t fall under Restricted category fall under Non-restricted category
Employees whose designations are Sr. Manager and above fall under the Senior Management Category.
Any entity with whom Uplers Solutions Private Limited is doing business in the form of purchasing any service or product, or providing services or product in exchange for remuneration.
The rows on the left side are a personal relationship between a current full-time employee of Uplers and the potential candidate for hire.
The columns on top define the professional relationship between the current full-time employee of Uplers and the potential candidate for hire.
The below tables highlight the hiring criterias on the basis of Personal & Professional Relationship between a current full-time employee of Uplers and a potential candidate, and shows cases where the candidate is eligible to be hired (Yes) or not eligible to be hired (No).

Employees should also do a self declaration at the time of hiring whether or not they are associated with any one in the organization.
Such relation instances at the time of hiring should be raised by the Talent Acquisition team and prior approval needs to be taken by the People and Culture department head if there is any exemption to be made.
Any instance where joining is done then HRBP should raise the concern with the People and Culture department head and necessary action should be taken.
This Policy is owned and administered by the People and Culture department and must be reviewed and updated (at least every 12 months). Any exceptions in the policy depend on the sole right of the Associate Director- People & Culture only.
Uplers reserves the right to update this policy periodically.
